10th Birthday Giveaway: Tess & Ted!
I have learned from trial and (lots of!) error that even if you have a pretty strong sense of personal style, interior design is a totally different ballgame. For me, the challenges have been rooted in the overwhelm factor of pulling an entire space together, and then fear about costly furniture and décor missteps.
The good news is, with the right guidance, you can learn! My friend Paige Lewin of Tess & Ted Interiors is a fellow career jumper (you can learn more about her story here) who is passionate about helping people make their homes truly theirs. What I love about Paige’s design work is that she’s particularly tuned into three things: 1) merging people’s styles (which Jon and I needed help with), 2) making spaces beautiful but still kid-friendly, and 3) being realistic about her client’s needs (if you tell her your budget, she will actually work with you to stay in the budget, not scope creep and make everything awkward). Working with Paige on our living space not only helped make our space awesome, but helped me figure out some general principles and approaches to make interior decisions on my own moving forward.

- Review of trouble spots and discussion of on-the-spot solutions
- Include as many rooms as can fit in a 1.5-hour visit
- Tess & Ted Interiors to provide a follow-up summary of what was discussed via email within 1 week
- Consultation does not include specific design plans or product selections
- Visit must be booked before December 31, 2016
- Current Tess & Ted clients are eligible for this prize and can use the value toward future services
Option 2. Long-Distance Winner (outside of 25 driving miles from Burlington, MA)
1-hour consultation via Skype/FaceTime to tackle your design dilemmas
- Review of trouble spots and discussion of on-the-spot solutions
- Tess & Ted Interiors to provide a follow-up summary of what was discussed
